Alexandre Joseph Landry Wednesday June 24th 2020

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Alexandre Landry, on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020 at St. Gabriel’s Villa, Sudbury, at the age of 88. Alexandre will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 65 years, Marguerite.
He is predeceased by his parents Napoleon and Elizabeth (née Connors), and seven brothers and one sister; Paul, Lucien, Aurele, Edwin, Romuald, Edgar, Donat, and Estelle Bertrand. Also predeceased by his sons in law Ronald Villeneuve and Kenneth Stevenson. He leaves behind three children; Sandra, Richard (Connie), and Lucille (Bill). He will be forever remembered by his four grandchildren; Alexandre (Amy), Curtis (Alicia), Nathan, and Luc. His grandchildren brought him unbelievable joy. He loved fishing and spent numerous hours on the water with his son Richard, his true fishing partner. We could never comprehend how they could actually spend 12 hours in a boat! Family was everything to this special husband, father, and grandfather.
Alexandre worked 35 years for INCO. He was a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus.
The family would like to give special thanks to the amazing staff of St. Gabriel’s Villa for their outstanding care and compassion. As per Alexandre’s wishes, there will be no service. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Donations to St. Gabriel’s Villa would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, www.lougheed.org.
