Obituary of Albert James Williams
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Albert (Abbie) James Williams, loving wife of Wendy (Roy) Williams, announce his unexpected passing on June 19, 2020, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Sus, NB on May 30, 1946, he was a son of the late Albert and Hazel Williams.
Abbie loved to read and enjoyed travelling extensively throughout the United States and Canada. In his later years, Abbie was proud to have become an Ordained Minister. Above all, Abbie was a real people person and will be missed by all his family and friends.
Abbie will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Wendy; his daughter, Carla (Jr. Norton) of Georgia, USA; sisters, Velzora Newman (the late Ray) of On, Muriel Newman (Eric) of Sus and Jessie McFawn (Doug) of Fredericton; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Resting at Mission Point Church, 130 Mark Drive, Saint John, where visitation will take place on Thursday, June 25, 2020, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Friday, June 26, 2020, at 11:00 AM also from Mission Point Church. For those who wish, the funeral service will be livestreamed and will be able to be viewed at missionpoint.ca. Strict Covid-19 protocols will be in place. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances in Abbie’s name can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor’s choice. www.BrenansFH.com.
