BROWN, Albert Chesley (Ches) – age 84, Brookfield, NS, passed away on June 6, 2020, in Debert Court, Debert, NS. Born in Kemptown, he was a son of the late Albert and Stella (Hoare) Brown.
Ches retired from the Provincial Government in the late 1990’s where he had worked as a Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspector. He also worked as a mechanic for the Colchester Regional School Board, Renault, Mazda, and Blaikies Dodge in Truro. For the past 60 years, he lived in Brookfield. He was a past member of the National Campers & Hikers Association and Hub Campers, and was active in his community. He loved to laugh, be mischievous and joke, tinker with vehicles, camp, and travel, and was supportive and willing to help anyone in need.
Ches was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Marjorie and son-in-law, Yvon. He is survived by their five children, Karen Brown (Mike), Halifax, Glenda Perreault, Dartmouth, Gail McCulloch (Ken), Schomberg, ON, Randy Brown (Willa), Brentwood, and James Brown (Kim), Halifax. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Robyn, Alex, Samantha, Colin, Rachel, Mitchell, Lauren and Katheryn; step grandchildren, Genevieve, Andrea and Samuel; great grandchildren Logan and Hazel; brothers, Gary Brown and Ross Brown (Althea) and sisters, Audrey White (Melvin), Elizabeth Connell and Linda MacKenzie (Sandy) as well as many other family members and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
