Alana Jane Gill September 13th 2020

Alana Jane Gill (Schmidt) passed away peacefully at Pleasant Valley Manor in Armstrong on September 13, 2020.
Alana was born December 20, 1944 in Herbert SK. Alana moved to Salmon Arm with her family in 1952. She lived in Salmon Arm till 1964 when she married Garth Gill and moved to Armstrong BC.
Alana was a great wife to our dad (Garth) for 57 years and also a great mother to us boys, Robert, Tom (Cindy) and Scott (Julie). Alana had 4 grandchildren, Carly, Eric, Averi and Jeremy. All 4 grandchildren got to spend a great deal of time with Grandma Gill. Grandma enjoyed every minute with her grandchildren. Grandma was very proud of her grandchildren as they brought her so much happiness.
Mom could do anything around the house. Mom was a great cook and baker. Mom loved to spend her time sewing and quilting.
Unfortunately mom ended up being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2012.
Alana will also be missed by her brothers Clifford and Steven (Kathy) and her sisters Ruth and Esther (Doug).
The family would like to express our extreme gratitude to all the staff of the Rosedale wing at Pleasant Valley Manor in Armstrong who cared for our mother during her last few years of her life. We can never thank you enough for the care and love you have given mom.
There will not be a funeral at this time.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Alana Jane Gill September 13th 2020..
