Born in Mossbank, Saskatchewan on February 28, 1921, Agnes Kathleen Faith Falk-Annett was the 17th child of Henry Hutchinson and his wife, Ellen Hutchinson (nee Scarrow).
She is predeceased by her parents and all of her 18 siblings, as well as her 1st husband, Norman Daniel Falk of 47 years and her 2nd husband, William Annett of 11 years; also her son-in-law, David Armstrong (Karen), her step son, David Annett and his wife, Darlene, and her step daughter, Arlene Simpson (nee Annett). Three children survive her, Karen Armstrong (nee Falk), David Falk (Dawn), Ken Annett (Wanda) and Barry Simpson, as well as 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is known for her strong faith in living for Jesus. This was manifest through her life as a pastor’s wife for both husbands, and her sharing of faith life with the residents in the home where she lived for the last 9 years as a widow. She lived in small communities throughout central and northern Alberta, as well as on Vancouver Island, during her married years. She loved taking care of her home and her family. She can proudly claim that all her children love and follow the Lord, as well as cherish their families as she did. Art and sewing were passions of hers with a number of these items distributed throughout the households of her children. After a month of decline and being bedridden, she quietly slipped away the evening of March 27, 2020 in AgeCare Home, Calgary. She had just finished celebrating her 99th birthday 3 weeks before. A Memorial Service for Agnes will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Nazarene Theological Society Student Scholarship for Rev. Norman & Mrs. Agnes Fallk “Faithful & True” (Church of the Nazarene Canada 3657 Pony Trail Dr. Mississauga, ON L4X 1W5); Canadian Bible Society (biblesociety.ca); or The Gideons (gideons.ca).
Phil 4: 6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
