Agnes Elizabeth Joyce ‘Betty’ 2020

With deepest sorrow, the family announces the passing of Agnes Elizabeth (Betty) Joyce. Her death occurred on August 28th, 2020 in the loving arms of her nieces, Deborah Joyce and Nancy Power, and sister Margaret.
Betty began her career at the Delnite Mine in Timmins and later was a valued staff associate at the University of Massachusetts, in Boston. After her retirement, Betty returned to her beloved home in Timmins, Ontario and spent the last three years of her life in Midland, at home with her family.
Fiercely loyal and generous to family and friends, Betty had a passion for music, art, travel and a job done to perfection. Betty will be dearly missed by her sisters Darlene (Desmond Harte) and Margaret (late Joe Power), her nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, the United States, Ireland and England. She is predeceased by her parents, Mary Agnes and MacDara Joyce, sisters Eileen Mullaney (John) and Nancy, and brothers Christopher, John and Thomas.
The family would like to thank the beautiful friends and neighbours who embraced Betty in her new home of Midland, Ontario and her loving caregivers, Lydia,Tania, Janice, Lorraine, and Brenda.
Visitation will take place at Carson Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 1st, in Midland, from 6-8pm. Funeral mass will be at 10 am at St. Margaret’s Church, Wednesday, September 2nd, with a reception to follow.
