Passed peacefully away with his wife and children by his side, Adolphus Henry (June) Thorne, aged 79 years of New Harbour, NL.
Predeceased by parents, Adolphus and Clara Thorne; brother, John; and sister, Daphne Wells.
Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life are his wife of 52 years, Patricia; daughter, Denise; son, Dennis; grandchildren, Sarah and Joshua Veber, Ella and Eden Thorne; sisters, Marjorie Pretty, Annie (Lewis) Day, Charlotte (Graham) Rowe, and Ruby (Stacey) Smith; brother, Gary (Yvonne) Thorne; sisters-in-law, Shirley Rose, Cynthia (Michael) Barrett, Edith Pretty, Penny Kieley-Pretty, and Elizabeth Pretty; brother-in-law, Derrick (Andrea) Pretty; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Due to restrictions of COVID-19, there will be a private visitation.
A celebration of his life will be held from St. Augustine’s Anglican Church in New Harbour, with internment to follow at St. Augustine’s Anglican Cemetery.
Donations may be made in June’s memory to the Janeway Children’s Hospital Telethon.
