Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Adelia Sparkes, age 91 years, of Summerford, NL announce her peaceful passing at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander, NL on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.
She is predeceased by her parents Hedley & Murial Jenkins, brothers Baxter, Cyril, husbands John Boyd, Oliver Anstey and Garfield Young.
Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Harry Sparkes, children Floyd (Louise), Greta (Neil), Baxter (Frances), Gayle (David), Watson (Rosalie), Shawn (Mavis), Rex (Sus-Ann), Charlie, grandchildren Phillip, Owen, Malisa, Sylvia, Ian, Sabrina, Michael, Monica, Sheldon, Pamela, Andrew, Ryan, Oral, Jessica, Jonathan, Jamie, Evan, Eron, great-grandchildren Justin, Samantha, Devon, Keelan, Nate, Kaleigh, Maci, Allie, Laken, Jackson, Thomas, Kendall, Chase, Aselin, Owen, step-children Bridie, Cathleen, Janette, Tony, Melvin, 9 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren. Also brothers Chesley (Sadie), Everett (Lila), Harvey (Rowena) as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, NL with public visitation on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Public visitation will continue at the Summerford Pentecostal Chruch on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor D. Young officiating.
