Obituary
With broken hearts we announce the loss of our son Adam. He passed peacefully in his sleep at home with us on Nov 30/20.
He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Donna, sister, Amy Webb, brother-in-law, Craig Webb, grandma, Doreen Hobson, and many extraordinary aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Adam’s passion was his people and he loved to see them shine. He was loyal, deep, gentle, kind, talented, quick- witted, smart, impatient, and funny. He enjoyed bartending, loved hockey, a good bonfire, traveling, fishing, writing poetry and lyrics, singing, painting, sketching, and he adored his family and friends. He was an awesome son and an excellent brother.
While Adam was born and raised in the Cowichan Valley, a 2010 family vacation to Mexico captured his imagination and sparked a lifelong journey. First stop Yellowknife, then on to Iqaluit, Montreal, Regina, Lloydminster, Banff, Mayo, Carmacks, Haine’s Junction, Gold River and this summer, Ladysmith. Adam experienced life and made friends and new family every place he lived and worked. He was proud of his Canadian journey and we are proud of him. Adam loved northern Canada and northern Canada loved Adam. He once proclaimed: “250 is my home but 867 is my heart!” He vacationed in Vegas, Cuba, Dominican, and best of all New York City; a short life well-lived.
Our boy was laid to rest in a beautiful spot under an oak tree at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens on Dec 10/20. A celebration of Adam’s life will be held Krutz/Hobson style on the other side of Covid. You can count on it!
Adam, you lit up our world on Jun 2/83 and made it a better place because you were in it. Love you round the world and back again; thank you for always coming home to us.
