Richard “Dick”‘s Obituary
Master of Jack’s Island, Richard “Dick” Pasloski, proud son of Saskatchewan farmers Walter and Anastasia (Bugiera) Pasloski, exceptional student, natural born athlete and coach (hockey, football and fastball), dead eye surveyor, beaver dam buster, planter of trees, teller of stories, reader of history, hoarder of “treasures”, tinkerer extraordinaire, watcher of birds, lover of lakes, gifted builder, crossword tamer, math wizard, map reader, whiskey aficionado, collector of tools, absurdly accurate eyeballer of lines, angles, volumes and grades, trainer of dogs, sometime gardener, patient teacher, Scrabble terror, lifelong Saskatchewan Roughrider fan, reluctant traveler, contented homebody, inveterate putterer, devoted husband of Marj, loving father of Piera and RJ (Jolan Storch), delighted grandfather of Jack and Sasha, caring son in law of Mary (McKenna) Milroy, beloved brother of six [Leonard (Vivian) Pasloski, Tom (Rose) Pasloski, Jerry (Sonja) Pasloski, Elaine (Dick) Olsen, Bette (Al) Wasylenka & Jeanette (Glen) Rusk], favourite uncle to many, fierce athletic competitor and the kindest man we knew, left us in the early evening of April 14, 2020, peacefully in his sleep, after his earthly jobs were done.
Dick loved Northern Ontario and chose to spend his adult life in Red Lake, where he married and raised two children. Dick and Marj acquired a small island in Red Lake, where he loved to fuss over his trees, putter, build and fight with the beavers.
A celebration of life will be held when the world returns to normal.
Very special thanks to Drs. D. Zielke and V. Aniol, the wonderful nurses, and all other staff of the Red Lake Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Red Lake Heritage Centre (Museum) or the Red Lake Memorial Hospital Foundation.

I would like to express my sincerest Condolences to Richard’s Family upon Dick’s Passing.
“Paz” as Richard was affectionately called by all his Hockey teammates of Queen’s University in 1961-62 was a very Warm and Fun Loving Person.
Although I only met and knew Richard for one year, He will always remain in my Memory as a Good Person. To learn that he became a ” Pillar” of His Community and GREAT Family Man is a tribute to his Upbringing, Education and Nature.
My thoughts and prayers are with All of Richard’s Families, at this time!
