Sandra will be remembered for her love of helping others. She genuinely cared and spent many hours collecting essentials for the homeless, as well as knitting 100 scarves every year for donation. She was an integral member of St. James in the Valley United Church. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved her church family. Always crafting, to some she was known as the Chocolate Lady, selling her homemade chocolates and other crafts at local craft fairs. She will be lovingly remembered by many foster children.
At this time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation. A memorial service will be held in St. James In the Valley United Church, 4510 Tate Blvd, Val Therese, at a later date, with inurnment in the Valley East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or St. James in the Valley United Church would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, www.lougheed.org.
