Susan’s Obituary
TRENTON – Susan Marie Wentzell, 58, Trenton, entered eternal life on Friday, April 17, 2020 from home with her loving husband, Brian and sister, Elizabeth, by her side.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Mary Agnus (Morton) (Curtis) Preston. Susan will always be remembered for her “backup plans” and “there’s always a solution for every problem” – choose plan A or Plan B. She was happiest when entertaining – breakfasts, dinners and get-togethers with her usual line, “it’s all in the presentation!” Susan left a lasting impression on everyone who met her and experienced her positive “can do” attitude was infectious. Susan spent time ensuring her “spirit” will live on in her treasured grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Surviving are her husband, Brian Wentzell; sons, John Robert “JR” (Robin) Curtis, Chance Harbour Road; Ryan (Heidi) Curtis, Lyons Brook; brother, Robert “Herbie” (Margie) Curtis; sister, Elizabeth (Peter) Lays, Westville; grandchildren, Honey, Devin, Morgan, Thomas, Hope, Marcus, Aiden, Austin and Chloe; great-grandchildren, Castiel, Ira and Reign; sister-in-law, Vivian Chapman, Trenton; brother-in-law, Gary MacDonald, Telford; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Susan was predeceased by her previous husband, Douglas Mullen Jr.; sister, Katherine (Kathy) MacDonald; brother, John Curtis.
At this time Susan’s life will be celebrated privately by her family due to the current COVID-19 restrictions.
