Obituary for Arlene Bourne
BOURNE Vallorie “Arlene” – Died peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Trillium Villa Nursing Home. Sarnia. ARLENE BOURNE “Flip” {nee Cassan} was formerly of Petrolia and was in her 87th year. Arlene was the loving wife of the late Roy (Bud) ) Bourne (1980). She will be missed by her children Heather (Dale) Bourne, Sandra McAvoy, Scot (Michelle) Bourne, and Shawn Bourne; her grandchildren Zachary (Valerie ) Russell, Nathan (Alicia) Russell, Jacklyn Russell, Logan McAvoy, Rielle (Alex) Dufour, Leena Bourne, and Billy Bourne; her great granddaughter Vivian Russell ; her friend Bob Campbell; her sister in law Maddy Bourne – Pauschenwein ; her best friend Margaret Dee; her many nieces and nephews; and the countless friends who’s lives she touched.
Arlene is predeceased by her parents Perry and Eva Cassan, her sisters, Mary Stewardson, Sheila McCallum, Margaret Atyeo, and her brothers Fred, Ted, and Harris Cassan.
Arlene’s favorite saying and one that she lived by was “ Those who mind, don’t matter. Those who matter don’t mind “ . She changed our world, with her laughter, food and music.
A private family service and interment will be held Tuesday, April 21st, in Petrolia. A celebration of life for Arlene will be held at a later date. Interment in Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia.
