Anne’s Obituary
Anne Glenora DeChamp
Anne’s family are heartbroken to announce her unexpected death on April 14, 2020 due to complications from a fall. Anne was born July 31, 1964 in Edmonton, the daughter of Roger DeChamp and the late Olive (Brown) DeChamp. Anne grew up in Shelburne from the age of 5. After studies at St. Mary’s and Miss Murphy’s Business College, she spread her wings and moved to Toronto to work in IT (self taught) at the law firm of Fasken Campbell Godfrey. Anne had a special group of friends in Toronto, many who were transplanted Nova Scotians, who remained very dear to her. From there she spent several years in Mexico and Florida. Upon her return to Nova Scotia, Anne enjoyed her employment with the NS Dept of Health & Wellness (Emergency Management) where her colleagues valued her dedication, quick wit and caring nature. She took pride in her role as Logistics Chief during mock disaster exercises. Anne loved reading, cooking, and blues music with friends and a good beer at Bearly’s. Anne was fluent in Spanish and loved to travel, especially to Mexico where she planned to retire. Anne is survived by her loving father Roger (Veteran’s Place Yarmouth), sisters Lois (Leslie) Smith, Ruth (John) Waters, Grace (Francis) Campbell, and nieces and nephews Jon (Maria), Jessica, Laura, Jamie (Dian), and Michael. She will also be missed by her best friend of many years, Allison Reid. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As Anne had a soft spot for the less fortunate, donations in her memory may be made to Hope Cottage. Online condolences may forwarded to www.huskilson.net
