Obituary
Stewart B. Ewen
1929 – 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father and friend, Stewart Bryant Ewen, who passed away at the age of 90 years.
Stewart, the youngest of five siblings, was born in Govan, Saskatchewan on September 25th, 1929, growing up on the family homestead. He met his wife, Freda Jean White, while working in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The couple moved to Saskatoon where he personally built their first house and started their family. He obtained his 1st Class Power Engineering designation while working at Saskatoon Light & Power.
Stewart retired from the Turner Valley Gas Plant in 1990. After retirement, Stewart developed a new passion, restoring Studebaker cars and a truck in his back-yard shop. The hobby included driving with Freda to various car shows in Canada and United States.
Stewart took great pleasure and joy with his numerous dogs.
Stewart will be missed by his wife Freda, son David (Kathi), daughter Cathy (Stephen) and grandchildren Dayne, Maegan and Michelle and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held in the future when we are all able to be together again.
