Matt Juba

Obituary
Matt Juba, age 93, of Emeryville Ontario, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2020. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Agnes Juba (nee Hiller), his children Pam Howick (Wyatt) of LaSalle, Randy Juba (Vicki) of Emeryville, Karen Juba-Jelusic (Boris Jelusic) of Chatham, Linda Glabb of Alberta, and daughter-in-law Betty Kuchta (Stephen Fuerth) of Chatham. He is pre-deceased by son Mathew Juba and son-in-law Bill Glabb. Matt took great delight in his grandchildren who will always fondly remember his playfulness and cherish the devotion he had for them: Jessica Howick (Sean Tully), Vanessa Howick (Eric Longpre), Zachary Jelusic, Sonja Jelusic, Angela Juba (Steve Slazyk), John Juba (Erica), Michael Juba (Katherine Koroluk), Jason Glabb and Erica Glabb. The arrival of three great-grandsons warmed his heart: Jack and Max Slazyk and West Juba. He is survived by many cherished brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Matt was born (in a log cabin built by his parents) near Angusville, Manitoba and moved to Windsor as a young man where he met the love of his life. Agnes and Matt would have celebrated 70 years of marriage this year. They enjoyed a long, productive life together in the company of family and close friends. Matt was proud of his 30+ years of service at Chrysler Canada. He was an active member of St. Mark’s by the Lake Anglican Church and long-time member of the Windsor Sportsmen’s Club. He enjoyed: telling his memorable animated tales; a competitive game of cards; a lively debate; traveling out west to visit family and friends and he will be remembered as a legendary horseshoe player in Emery Park. Many thanks to family, friends and caregivers who gave of themselves to provide support and comfort to Matt, particularly over the last few years. A private family service will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234.
