Aubrey Parish
1933-2020
Aubrey Alexander Parish of Nictau, NB, passed away peacefully at the
Grand Falls Manor (Falls Villa) on April 13, 2020.
Aubrey was born in Bath, NB, on May 9, 1933. He was the son of the
late Harold and Pauline (DeMerchant) Parish. Aubrey leaves behind his
two sons, Jerry Parish and Rob Parish (Amanda), both of Nictau, NB;
his grandchildren, Jeremy Sappier, Joey Lepage, and Jarod Parish; his
great granddaughter, Abigail; his sisters, Viola Hebert (Raymond) of
McLaughlin, NB, Juanita Black (Joe) of Nictau, NB; his
brothers-in-law, Ronald Briggs of Three Brooks, NB, Richard Jenkins
(Nancy) of New Maryland, NB; his sisters-in-law, Kate Parish of Riley
Brook, NB, Linda Parish of Plaster Rock, NB; along with many nieces
and nephews.
Aubrey was predeceased by his parents; his wife Wilma Parish (Jenkins)
in 2014; his baby daughter, Dorina Parish; his sisters, Phyllis
Gillespie and Kay Briggs; his brothers, David, Harold
“Wease”, and Murray Parish; his brother-in-law, Malcolm
Jenkins.
Aubrey was a bulldozer operator for Frasers before moving to Sarnia,
ON, were he became a fireman and worked for the city for 25 years.
After he retired from the fire department in Sarnia, he moved to
Fredericton, NB, were he worked as a mechanical superintendent for the
City of Fredericton. Aubrey also enjoyed piloting and being a hunting
and fishing guide.
A graveside service celebrating Aubrey’s life will be held at the
Riley Brook Community Cemetery on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 11:30 am.
Rev. Shirley DeMerchant officiating.
Due to the restrictions for Covid-19, a maximum of 50 people are
allowed to attend the service.
For those who wish memorial donations to the Riley Brook Community
would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock, NB.
