Roberts, Gerald Millard -Age 81, passed away peacefully at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow on April 8. 2020. Formerly from River John, Gerald had been a resident at the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou for the past few years. Born in Cape John, May 4th 1938, he was a son of the late Robert “Bobby” and Mary (Robison)Roberts. He is survived by daughter, Shirley (Jimmy Baillie), River John, and son, Stephen (Patti), Truro; granddaughters, Josie and Lily; sisters, Mattie Dwyer, River John and Rhetta Murphy, Valley; brother, Everett (Erma), River John. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Dorothy Cameron, formerly of Tatamagouche, and Laura Langille, formerly of Pictou. As was his request, there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place under the care of Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche, with a private family burial at a later date in Mountain Road Cemetery, River John. During these difficult times, in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to a local food bank or related charity of choice. A sincere thank you to Dr. Burrill and all the staff at the Maritime Oddfellows Home. All your kindness won’t soon be forgotten.
