La célébration de
Vanda Jasinevicius
1 février 1922 –
5 avril 2020
On Sunday, April 5, 2020, at the age of 98, Vanda left us and is now with her husband the late Juozas Jasinevicius. Loving mother of Algimantas (Rima) Jasinevicius, Aldona (Vytautas) Lenauskas, and Vida (Gregory) Davey. Devoted grandmother of Sarunas (Carrie), Daiva (Edward), Vytas (fiancee Samantha), Joshua (fiancee Selena), Kendra and Vilija. Great grandmother to Mason, Emma, and the twins Luke and Jackson. She is predeceased by her brothers Karolis, Eugenijus and Vytautas. Vanda leaves behind her sister Emilija, and she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Like many of her generation, Vanda endured many hardships when escaping her homeland Lithuania due to WW II. Vanda was a person of great faith. It is this faith that gave her the strength needed to make a new life in Canada. As her children, we could not have asked for a more loving and nourishing mother. Once the grandchildren came along, she gave them her undivided attention and love.
Vanda will be greatly missed by us along with family and friends whose lives she touched with her loving nature and compassion. She made everyone feel loved and special.
Many thanks to the dedicated staff of Labdara for their tender vigilance and care.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Labdara Lithuanian Nursing Home (labdara.ca ).
Interment will take place at St. John’s Lithuanian Cemetery in Mississauga. Due to current restrictions there will be no visitation or mass and only immediate family is permitted to attend.
