Marguerite Asdale “Reta” Cooper
Born January 1, 1918 age 102
of Halifax passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020 in the Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home, Halifax. Born in Murray River, PEI she was the daughter of the late Walter and Gertrude Buell. Survived by her children, Patricia Fordham, Halifax; Barry (Diane), Ontario; Cyril (Gail), Halifax; grandchildren, Kevin (Deidre), Chicago. USA; Natalie (Mark), Alberta; Craig (Karen), PEI; Brent (Jamie), Alberta; Darren (Helen), Alberta; Great grandchildren, Devin, Davis, Liam, Nolan, Cameron, Hunter, Sophie and Madeline. Predeceased by her husband, Chester H. Cooper “Ches”; son-in-law, Arthur Fordham; grandson, Brian. Reta while living in Halifax was a member of the Welcome Wagon, Beta Sigma Phi and Woman of Rotary. She was an amateur artist and left us with lovely paintings. The last five years she resided in St. Vincent Nursing Home. We would like to thank the incredible staff of the 6th floor whose patience and kindness were above and beyond. Special thanks to Jessica, Cindy and Phil who befriended her and were so kind to her.
