Goodwin, Gladys Dorothy “Dot”, age 83, Yarmouth passed away January 2,2020 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Barrington, she was a daughter to the late Bradford and Alice (Scott) Keating. Dot thoroughly enjoyed playing the guitar. In her younger years she played in a band called “Dotty and Friends”, while living in New Jersey. Music was her absolute world. She raised her family of five while also working as a chamber maid for Lakelawn Motel and a hotel in Shelburne. She is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline (Ray) George, Shelburne; Carol Bromm, Halifax; Shelly Nickerson, Yarmouth; sons, William (Jim) Bromm, Toronto; Charles Bromm, Halifax; Shawn Goodwin, Yarmouth; daughter in law, Darlene Bromm, Yarmouth; brothers, Lee (Sue) Keating, Clyde River; Kenneth Keating, Victoria, BC; sister, Janice Surette, Yarmouth; grandchildren, Ashley Saulnier; Alexandra Bromm; Shay Goodwin and dearest best friend Dwayne Deveau. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband William Bromm; second husband Donald Goodwin; son, George Bromm and great grandson Raymond George Doucette. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place as per Dot’s wishes and there will be an interment in the spring.
