Karen Lynn Sappier
April 30, 1932 – January 2, 2020
With loved ones by her side, its with great sadness the family announces the passing of Karen Lynn Sappier on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, after a short courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Fredericton, Karen graduated from Fredericton High School and worked for over 30 years in the office of St. Mary’s First Nations, where she leaves behind many good friends, especially Lisa Howe, Sandra Polchies and Candace Paul.
Karen is survived by her loving partner, Lenny Mabee; her daughter, Jackie (Clint); her son, Lance; her six adorable grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Eileen and Garfield Corey; her half brother, Mick Glendenning (Paula) and her step sister, Angela Corey. She was predeceased by her father, Carl Glendenning.
At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Private Family Burial will take place at a later date. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
