Phillis Linitski 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phillis.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, John; their children: Teresa (Patrick), Ramona, Ellen, David, Christine (Tom), and Phillip (Lana); grandchildren: Kelly (Scott), Jessie (Chris), Mitchell (Katie), Caisie and Isaac (Brigitte); great grandchildren, Kali and Caleb; sisters, Penny (Jim) and Laura (Tom); brother, Arthur (Janice) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Phillis was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Lillian Slingsby and her sister, Barbara Heninger.
Phillis was born, the first child, in Hardieville, Alberta to Victor and Lillian Slingsby. She grew up on the family farm in Judson, Alberta. There, she met and married John on February 14, 1956. Together, they had 6 children. She loved to be around and take care of her family. She stayed involved in the community, belonging to and volunteering with Girl Guides, 4-H, WI Women’s Club and minor hockey. She loved baking and gardening and enjoyed giving her children and grandchildren advice on these subjects. She and John resided in Alberta, living in Wrentham, Judson, Innisfree, Joffre, Didsbury and finally settling in Red Deer for the last 6 years. She will be greatly missed. God bless her soul.
A Private family Celebration of her Life will be held later in the year.
