It is with heavy hearts that the family of Velma M. McLaughlin of Lake
Edward, NB, announce her passing at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on
March 29, 2020.
Velma was born in Perth-Andover, NB, on August 24, 1960. She was the
daughter of the late Charles Williams and the late Ida Crawford (St.
Peter). Velma leaves behind her loving husband of 40 years, Frederick
McLaughlin; her son, Nathan McLaughlin; her sisters, Wanda Lagace
(Allan) of British Columbia, Frances Watson (Carmen) of British
Columbia, Bernadine Greene of British Columbia, Laura McFarland (Ian)
of Cochran, AB, Hazel Goodine-Powers of Morrell Siding, NB, Bertha
Urquhart (Larry) of Grand Manan Island, NB, Milli Watson (Paul) of
Lake Edward, NB; her brothers, Freeman Williams of Alberta, Byron
Williams of British Columbia, and Charles Williams of British
Columbia; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Elizabeth Albert; her
brothers, David and Roland Williams.
Because of the ongoing situation with the Covid-19 virus, a
celebration of Velma’s life will be held at a later date. This
obituary will be reposted at a later date once all the details have
been finalized.
For those who wish, memorial donations to Lupus New Brunswick would be
appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
