Gilles Duguay, 76, of South Tetagouche, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 2, 2020 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Duguayville, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Délia (LaPlante) Duguay.
He worked as a roofer most of his life and loved music and sports.
He is survived by two sons: Gilles Jr. (Pauline Vienneau) of South Tetagouche and Jeremie (Jessica Pitre) of Saint-Laurent.
Two grandchildren: Norah and Bridgette.
Extended family: Aimee, Brittney, Corey, Natacha and Jonathan.
Eleven brothers and sisters: Simonne Bujold of Montreal, Marielle Gauvin, Romain, Delors (Clémence) and Osias all of Shippagan, Rosella Roy (Clarence) of Bathurst, Ferdinand (Irma) of Caraquet, Réjean of LeGoulet, Denis of Maisonnette, Rénald (Léonette) and Aurore Boudreau (Roland) both of Sainte-Rose.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by two brothers: Viateur, Rhéal and two sisters: Irène and Adrienne.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 7th, 2020 at 2 p.m. from the Evangel Pentecostal Church, Bathurst.
