Obituary
September 11, 1939 – March 19, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Claude R. Nobert on Thursday, March 19, 2020, in the Kelowna General Hospital. He passed peacefully surrounded by family. He was predeceased by his parents: Arthur and Noella Nobert; his brothers: Andre, Paul-Emile, Marcel, Roland, Leo, Louis and Henri; his sisters: Cecile, Jeannette, Jeanne, Collette, Yvonne and Marie Denise. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by Mildred, his wife of 60 years; children: Raymond (Brenda), Richard and Gerald; his seven grandchildren: Joe, Stacy, Cheyenne, Elissa, Noah, James and Raechel; two great grandsons: Conner and Ali; and many nieces and nephews.
Claude was born in Gravelbourg, Sask. in 1939 and moved to Penticton, BC in 1973. He was a very hard dedicated worker throughout his career as a tire-man. He loved and cherished all the time he could spend with his children throughout his years and always made sure to have the weekly Sunday meal which he enjoyed immensely and loved having the grandchildren over to spend his time with. Those were the highlight and pride of his life. He enjoyed going to and having yard sales and chatting with all the people he made contact with. He had a zest for life and was a real “people person”. He took great pride in working in his yard trying to have the best-looking yard in Penticton. Walking in the park was another joy of his and luckily, we had an outside gym where he went to work out in the early morning hours on a daily basis. The group family outings were the most treasured moments of his life. Having all his family together gave him the greatest happiness.
We, the family, would like to give special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff in the Penticton and Kelowna Hospitals for the dedication and truly wonderful care they gave to Claude and our family. A very special “Thank You” to his niece Louise Sewell, who spent many hours daily visiting him and keeping us informed throughout his hospitalization.
