Obituary of BILL MIKE DMETRIUC
DMETRIUC, Bill – With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Bill Dmetriuc on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 in his 82nd year, after a brief battle with cancer. Bill is lovingly remembered for his humour, love of farming and devotion to family and friends. He was always willing to help anyone in need. After 57 years of marriage, he leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Frances (nee Novak), his son Michael (Nadine), daughter Sheryl (Jamie Curran) and Papa to grandchildren Stacey, Madison and Ethan. He is survived by his sister Mary-Jane (Henry Frystak) and is predeceased by his brother George, and parents Oscar and Helen Dmetriuc. Also left to mourn are many brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. Bill will always be remembered spending Friday night coffee with family – better known as the “Friday Night Crew”. He enjoyed laughing and sharing old stories with friends. He spent many happy hours farming with his children and grandchildren and left us with long-lasting memories in the sugar bush making maple syrup. The family wish to extend their gratitude to Dr. Mian and Nurse Wendy (Juravinski Cancer Centre), Jen, Manny and Natalie (CBI Home Health), and BGH staff. Special thanks to Dr. Callery and staff for all your care and compassion over the years, and the Thompson-Mott Funeral Home for their support. At Bill’s request, cremation will take place. There will be a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, 62 Main St. N. Waterford Ontario (519-443-5332_. If so desired, donations may be made in Bill’s memory to Hamilton Regional Eye Institute or Juravinski Cancer Care Centre in Hamilton, On.
