Obituary of Francis John Dundon
DUNDON, Frank
At home surrounded by his loving family, Frank peacefully passed away on the morning of December 31, 2019 at the age of 91. Devoted father to Bill (Tracey), Paul and Beth (Steve). Cherished by his Grandchildren Justin (Katie), Taryn (Ryan ), Jenna, Abby and great-granddaughter Aubrey. Frank will be sadly missed by Rhonda Dundon who thought of “Pop” as a second father. Frank will also be missed by his great niece Amy McQueen who deserves recognition for her tireless care, compassion and advocacy on his behalf. Predeceased by his parents Anne and Michael as well as his nine siblings. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and many good friends.
Frank was a career sheet metal worker. A job which at times took him to dizzying height such as working on the Peace Tower at the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa. He was a man with a great sense of humour. Just ask anyone who knew him and they could likely share a funny story! The Family would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to all those who provided care for Dad the last couple of years especially the PSW’s and RN’s from St. Elizabeth Healthcare. Cremation has taken place and a graveside ceremony will take place in the spring. For those wishing, donations in Frank’s name may be made to the Kingston Health Sciences Centre Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Francis
