d’ENTREMONT, Pius Hilaire – age 98, Villa Acadienne, Meteghan, formerly of Belleville, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2020 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born November 19, 1921 in Eel Brook, he was a son of the late Raymond and Maguite-Anne (Surette) d’Entremont. Pius was a retired mechanic and crane operator. However, his true passion, which began at a young age, was logging and working in the woods. He also enjoyed hunting and working with cattle. He is survived by his wife, Irene D. (Muise) d’Entremont, as well as by their four sons, Russell (Linda), Belleville; Ben (Kathy), Pleasant Lake; Gary (Margaret), Bell Neck and Erwin (Claudette), Belleville, along with nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter. Also surviving is a brother, Bernie (Geneva) d’Entremont and a sister, Erite (John) Frotten, both of Tusket. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Paul and Hubert d’Entremont as well as by sisters, Anna Babin and Bernice Johnson. Due to concerns over COVID19, the family has decided to hold a private funeral service at this time. Internment will take place in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Ste-Anne du Ruisseau. It has been requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
