Clifford’s Obituary
COTTREAU, Clifford Joseph – age 77, Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away after a brief illness on Friday, March 13, 2020 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital with his family at his side. Born August 14, 1942 in Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., he was a son of the late John and Lucie (LeBlanc) Cottreau. Clifford was a retired oil burner mechanic, having worked with Irving Oil for more than forty years. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Cottreau, as well as by their children, Robert Cottreau (Jeanette Caddell), Amanda (Darrell) Williams and Justin Cottreau (Shannon LeBlanc), all of Wedgeport. He was also the best “Pa-Père” to Daneesha, Marissa, Aaron, Kyler, Zachary and Jacob. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Leo, Arthur, Lawrence and Charles Cottreau as well as by sisters, Annie Cottreau, Madeline Hubbard and Estelle Boudreau. Visitation will take place from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday with prayers at 7 p.m. from H.M Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 16 at Sant Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery.
