Treva Christina Grant (Pugh)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Treva
Christina Grant (Pugh), wife of the late Ernest A. Grant. After a
brief illness, at the age of 95, Treva passed away peacefully on
December 31, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmer’s Hospital.
Treva was born at Pugh’s Crossing in Burtt’s
Corner, NB on December 18, 1924. She was the daughter of the late
William and Hazel (Derrah) Pugh.
In addition
to her sister Mary Donahoe of Toronto, ON, Treva is survived by her
daughter, Barb Roche of Saint John, sons, Ian Grant (Cheryl) of
Riverview, and Dr. E. Stephen Grant (Kim) of Fredericton;
grandchildren Julie Garnett (Sean), Grant Roche, Alastair Grant
(Jennifer), Becki Grant (Bob), and Rose Grant; great grandchildren
Taylor and Mackenzie Floyd, Riley Wilson, Elsbeth and Ewen Grant;
great-great grandchildren Braxton, Cohen, and Cayson Berube, and
Waylon Floyd.
In addition to her parents and husband, Treva was predeceased
by her sister Bina Moores; brother-in-law Frank Moores; brother-in-law
Ed Donohue; son-in-law Peter Roche; and granddaughter Katie
Wilson.
Treva loved watching curling and in her earlier years she was
involved with the Capital Winter Club. She was an active member of the
I.O.D.E, an avid bridge player and loved to crochet and knit. When in
the kitchen look out, she was always the one in charge of her kitchen.
She also loved spending time with her family.
As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral
service. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery at a future date.
For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of the
donor’s choice.
