Obituary of Rachel Geraldine Brooks
BROOKS, RACHEL GERALDINE
The passing of Rachel Geraldine Brooks of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Irvine A. Brooks, occurred on March 3, 2020 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 7, 1927 in Dorn Ridge, NB, she was the daughter of the late Sanford and Mary Anne (Foster) Haines. Rachel loved to garden and was a member of MacAdam Avenue Gospel Hall.
Rachel is survived by a daughter, Deborah Follett (Larry) of Saint John; sons, Stephen Morgan of Calgary, AB, Ron Morgan (Darlene) of Cambridge, ON, Ian Morgan (Terri) of Michigan; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Mowry; sisters in law, Barbara and Brenda; several nieces and nephews; close friends and neighbours, Carter and Norma Bostick.
Besides her parents and husband, Rachel was predeceased by her son, Albert Morgan; sisters, Willet Mowry, Bev Morgan, Pearle, Lucy and Annie Haines; brothers, Arthur, Vincent, Alonzo and Lester Haines.
Arrangements are in the care of York Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. A Private Funeral Service will take place at a later date. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery, Fredericton at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Gideon Bible Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
