Fraser’s Obituary
88, Shag Harbour, passed away March 4, 2020, at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth. Born January 24, 1932, he was a son of the late Everett and Clattie (Garron) Brannen. Fraser greatly enjoyed gospel music and watching the Toronto Blue Jays. In his younger years he loved hunting and fishing. He was very faithful in reading his bible; scripture was important to him. He is survived by children, Roland (Sherrie) Brannen, Jennifer (Jody) Goreham; grandchildren, Becky Smith, Lacey Brannen, Holly Malone, Bradley Goreham; step-grandchildren, Terri-Lee Harrington, Crystal Williams; great-grandchildren, Lynix Malone; step-great grandchildren, Damien Williams, Shelby Williams; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by wife, Phyllis (Banks) Brannen; daughter, Shelley Smith; siblings, Isaac, Alliston, Fred, Havelock, Marguerite, Lillian; and granddaughter, Kristin Goreham. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Barrington. There will be a memorial service held Sunday, March 8, 2 p.m. at the Shag Harbour United Baptist Church, Shag Harbour, with Pastor Phil officiating. Interment to follow in the Old Farm Cemetery, Shag Harbour. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
