Kent Dixon Thursday February 27th 2020

Early Thursday, February 27, 2020, Kent J. Dixon in his 62nd year passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Stedman Hospice. Beloved husband of Cheryl for 37 years. Loving father of Holly-Ann, Mark, Kendra (Aaron) and Mitchell. Loved son of Robert and the late Colette (1993). Dear brother of the late Mark (1975). Loved step-son of Sylvia. Caring Papa of Eion, Evan and Max. He will be deeply missed by his brothers Martin (Lorie), Sean (Kat), Everett (Claudia) and Stefan and sisters Marcelle (Paul), Josette (Greg), Rejeanne (Eugene) as well as many nieces and nephews. He attended St. John’s College, Brantford then went to the University of Waterloo and became a Chartered Accountant. Over his life he had three successful careers; as a partner at Millards, CFO of Marks Lumber and Founder of R.O.I. Group. He was a passionate football coach for many decades with the Brantford Bisons and the Assumption Lions until, due to a progressive form of Parkinsons, he retired from coaching. Kent also assisted in disaster relief along with each of his children and many friends. He bravely fought his disease for over 10 years, always determined to live life and find enjoyment each day, even as his body failed. He touched the lives of countless people in many ways. He will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life for friends will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2020 from 3-6 p.m. at the Brantford Golf and Country Club, 60 Ava Road, Brantford. Donations in memory of Kent may be made to the Parkinsons Society, Crossing all Bridges, Camp Trillium or Habitat for Humanity.
