Andrew Higdon
June 22, 1921 – March 3, 2020
Passed away suddenly at home on March 3, 2020, Andrew Higdon of New Harbour, aged 98 years.
Predeceased by wife, Janet; son, Bill; brothers, Stephen (Margaret) and Theodore; sister, Sadie (Clarence) George; half-sister, Stella (Tom) Hearn; and half-brother, Lewis Reid.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories and to celebrate his life with thanksgiving are daughters, Dorothy (Ray) Lewis, Myrtle Newhook and Sandra; son, Michael (Lois); 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Julia Higdon and Doris Reid; and too many nieces, nephews and friends to count.
Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo with visitation on Friday, March 6, 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A service of celebration and thanksgiving for Andrew’s life will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 11:00 am from St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, New Harbour with interment to follow at St. Augustine’s Anglican Cemetery, New Harbour.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Andrew’s memory may be made to Special Olympics, Placentia Branch or a charity of one’s choice.
