1938-2020
With his family by his side, Henry Nelson Martin of Upper Kintore, NB,
passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on March 2,
2020.
Henry was born in Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska, NB on May 5, 1938. He was the
son of the late Louis-Phillip and Laurette (Gagnon) Martin. Henry
leaves behind his daughter, Donna Bolger (Jack) of Debec, NB; his son,
Peter Martin (Penny) of Morrell Siding, NB; his grandchildren, Alek,
Jessica, Ean, and Maria Bolger; his companion, Elaine Ellis Hotham;
his sisters, Vicki Martin (Hal O’Neal) of Aroostook, NB, Georgianne
Lunn (Clinton) of Beechwood, NB; his brothers, William Martin
(Shirley) of Tobique Narrow, NB, Narcisse Martin of New Denmark, NB;
along with several nieces and nephews.
Henry was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Marita Martin
(DeMerchant); and his sister-in-law, Theresa Martin.
Henry farmed for most of his life. He also drove a school bus for
eight years before retirement. He was a member of the Wednesday
Evening Fiddlers and the Barclay Memorial Hall.
Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Friday from 6-8
pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11 am
from the funeral home. Father Gilbert Doddatto officiating. Interment
will be in the Upper Kintore Cemetery at a later date.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Upper Kintore Cemetery
or to the Andover Elementary breakfast Program would be appreciated by
the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
