Mildred Cunningham December 27th 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Denise Cunningham of Medicine Hat announce her passing at the age of 80 years after a brief illness. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter; Debby (Thomas) Baumann; son, Jim Cunningham (Tanya Beaulieu); grandchildren, Alex Baumann, Stacey (Nick) Origlia and Michael Horvath; and great-grandchildren, Matteo and Alessia Origlia and Mia Dehod; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Denise was predeceased by her devoted husband, Jim Cunningham; loving daughter, Sharon Horvath; parents, Charles and Mildred Purdon; and her brothers and sisters. Denise and Jim valued the time they could spend together walking the trails in the coulees. She loved to spend time with family, but especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren. She was generous with her spare time and volunteered whenever she could. Denise was very crafty and she also liked to read and watch her favorite show Jeopardy. She made many friends while residing at the Cypress View Lodge for the last four years and she will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff and Medicine Hat Regional Hospital and to Carmel Hospice at St. Joseph’s Home. A celebration of Denise’s life will be held at a later date in Edmonton, Alberta. Condolences may be sent through www.saamis.com or to condolences@saamis.com subject heading Denise Cunningham.
