Obituary of Anne Campbell
Surrounded by the love and compassion of her family, at the Chapman House Hospice, in the early morning hour of Saturday, February 22nd, 2020, Anne “Nancy” Campbell (nee McColgan), of Owen Sound, in her 74th year was peacefully called home. Beloved wife of 51 years to John Campbell. Loving mother of Sean Campbell (Stephanie), of Burlington, Susanne Milne (Stephen), of Alliston and Lisa Campbell (Jason Maluske), of Georgian Bluffs. Proud grandmother of Shannon, Grace, Molly, Georgia and Shane. Dear sister of Frances McColgan, of Ireland, Pat McColgan, of Whitby and Hughie McColgan, of England. Predeceased by her parents, John and Annie McColgan; her siblings, Mary Doherty, Lizzie McDaid, Neilly McColgan and John McColgan. Anne will be missed dearly by her many nieces and nephews, in law’s and close friends.
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Monday, Februrary 24th, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Prayer Vigil will be hosted Monday evening at 8:45 p.m at the Funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial for Anne will be held at ST. MARY’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 554 – 15th Street East, Owen Sound, on Tuesday, February 25th, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. with Father Kuzma officiating. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Owen Sound. The family invites everyone to attend a celebration luncheon following the burial at Brian Woods Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Chapman House Hospice or the Kidney Foundation of Canada as an expression of sympathy.
