Service Details
Mrs. Elizabeth Merkley of Carnduff and formerly of Glen Ewen, passed away at the Sunset Haven, Carnduff on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the age of 92.
She was predeceased by her husband, Eric; parents, Fritz & Katrina Henger; sister, Kathrine Rossow; brother, Fred Henger; five brothers-in-law, Ed (Joyce) Parkman, Donnie (Louise) St. Pierre, Wilfred (Doreen) Tyo, Rudy Rossow, and Alex Bzdell; sister-in-law, Mary Henger; in-laws, Berteron & Elta Merkley; and daughter-in-law, Joan Merkley.
Liz is survived by her four sons, Bob (Sandra) of Calgary, Jim (Donna) of Glen Ewen, Danny (Dianne) of Glen Ewen, and Randy (Korena) of Glen Ewen; daughter, Diane (Rod) Loucks of Melita; thirteen grandchildren, Kim (Jay) Carter, Cam (Lindsey) Merkley, Cari Merkley, Kurt (Christine) Merkley, Todd (Clare) Merkley, Bryce (Taylor) Merkley, Shawn Merkley, Christopher Merkley, Karissa (Galen) George, Colby (Jaide) Merkley, Dylan (Shania) Merkley, Randy (Kaitlyn) Loucks, and Reed (Val) Loucks; ten great-grandchildren, Ewan & Sophie Carter, Cooper & Wallace Merkley, Austin & Brady Merkley, Grayson & Pryce George, Brexlyn Merkley, and Hazel Loucks; sister, Helen Bzdell; brother-in-law, Ellis (Theresa) Merkley; sister-in-law, Brenda (Bill) Porter; also numerous nieces and nephews.
A public graveside funeral service will be held at the Glen Ewen Cemetery, Glen Ewen, SK. on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Mrs. Sandy Dalziel officiating. Please bring a lawn chair if you desire.
