Rev. Larry John Broughton
Born June 19, 1941, son of Milton and Florence Broughton of Hughenden, Alberta. Husband of Doreen (Roberts) for 55 wonderful years. Loving father of John Broughton (Jill) of Cambridge and Doris Olmstead (Steve) of Kipling. Proud Grandfather of Nathan (Allie), Benjamin and Isaac Olmstead of Kipling. Brother of Robert (Brenda), Darla (Jim Dragon) and Donald (Heather).
Beloved missionary in Liberia, Uganda and Ivory Coast for 30 years. “Retired” Pastor of Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada churches in Viking and Coalhurst AB, Baie Comeau, PQ and Ancaster and Powassan Ontario.
Went to be with the Lord following heart surgery in Sudbury on February 18, 2020. An awesome life, well lived with Faith, Love and Integrity. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to Grace Pentecostal Missions Fund for Pastoral Training in Liberia.
The family will receive visitors at Grace Pentecostal Church (14 Main Street Powassan) on Sunday February 23, 2020 from 3 to 5pm and 6 to 8pm. Visitors will again be received at Calvary Pentecostal Temple (271 Ski Club Rd. North Bay) on Monday February 24, 2020 from 1 to 2pm followed by a funeral service at 2pm.
