It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected
passing of Shawn Douglas LeBlanc, age 48 of Middle East Pubnico on
Sunday, February 16, 2020 in hospital in Cancun, Mexico.
Survived by his loving and devoted wife, Dawn Goreham LeBlanc and
sons; Caleb and Brayden LeBlanc of Middle East Pubnico, he was a son
of Joyce LeBlanc of Lower East Pubnico and the late Terrence (Terry)
LeBlanc, sister; Tammy (Mark) LeBlanc of Halifax and brother; Steven
(Jillian) LeBlanc of Lower East Pubnico and nieces and nephews who
love him very much. Visitation will be Friday, February
21st from 3:30-9pm in the West Pubnico Funeral
Home, Middle West Pubnico. A Mass of Christian burial will
be held on Saturday, February 22nd, 2020 at
11am in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Middle East
Pubnico with Fr. Cyrille Assihou officiating. Donations in
memory may be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital,
Halifax. On line condolences may be forwarded to the family
at westpubnicofh.com. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to the West Pubnico Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Middle West Pubnico. 902 762-3407
Following in his late father’s footsteps, Shawn was
part owner and operator of the family business, East Side
Fisheries. He was a hard working and passionate businessman
in his home community of Lower East Pubnico. Shawn was known
as a family man who loved nothing more than spending time with his
wife and especially his two boys who he was very proud of.
When not working, he enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Brazil
Lake with his family and friends. Shawn’s loss
will be deeply felt by his family and many friends who loved and cared
for him.
