Obituary of Joseph George “Joe” Moser
Passed away peacefully at his residence, Valleyview Home, St. Thomas on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, in his 93rd year. Husband of the late Ruth (née Reid) Moser (2010). Father of David Moser (Janet), Ernie Moser, Beth Shultis (Chris), late Michael Moser, late Ken Moser (Betty), and late Chris Moser (late Helen). Also survived by his grandchildren, Leonard Hanson (Jaime), Matthew Hanson (Katie), and Christine Cheema (Harleen), as well as several great grandchildren. Born in Mendham, SK, September 11, 1927, he was the son of the late George and Frances (née Kambeitz) Moser. Joe was a retired Canada Unemployment Insurance Commission claims adjudicator. He was a member of St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, and Father Ernie Deslippe Council #1467, Knights of Columbus, St. Thomas. Joe was a former member of Lord Elgin Branch #41, Royal Canadian Legion, St. Thomas, and formerly served in Canada with the RCAF. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Parish, 20 Morrison Dr., St. Thomas on Tuesday, February 18th at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Following cremation, private interment in Holy Angels’ Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Holy Angels’ Church Restoration Fund or the charity of choice will be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements entrusted to the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
