Maxine Lynne Ruymar (nee Watts)
Peacefully and surrounded by family, Maxine Lynne Ruymar passed away June 10, 2019 at the La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ontario.
Maxine Lynne Ruymar (nee Watts) was born December 9, 1946 in Emo, Ontario, to the late Arthur and Arlien Watts of Stratton, Ontario.
Maxine attended both Rainy River High School and Fort Frances High School. In 1965 Maxine decided she would pursue new adventures and moved to Winnipeg, MB. Maxine quickly made friends and enjoyed a full and busy life in the city.
Although Maxine lived in Winnipeg, the Rainy River District was always considered home.
Maxine and her life partner, the late Ronald Boyko, opened a candy business and travelled all over the country making and selling it. Although making candy was their passion, they always thoroughly enjoyed the time spent together the most, whether it be at work or home. Maxine was known for her vibrant personality, rampant laughter, and infectious smile that affected all around her. As Maxine and Ron travelled with their business they had the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, and through this made many friends along the way. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and the sensitivity to others.
Maxine will be remembered by her children for her unwavering love and support and will be sorely missed.
Maxine was predeceased by her parents; Arthur and Arlien Watts, and the love of her life Ronald Boyko.
Maxine is survived by her two children; daughter Rhonda Ruymar (Welly Gibson) of Emo, Ontario, and son Cole Ruymar (Donna) of Edmonton, Alberta. Special children: Miah, Hailey, and Nikki Gibson.
Sister; Shirley Hodge (Doug) of Rainy River, Ontario, Special Niece; Marni Lyn McDonald, Special Cousins; Dianne Stafford & Elaine Advent At Maxine’s request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has already taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in support of Breast Cancer Research, c/o Northridge Funeral Home, Box 89, Emo, ON P0W 1E0.
