Paul’s Obituary
Dewar, Paul Gordon – 72, of Wallace Bay, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and caregivers, Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Born in Tatamagouche, he was a son of the late Gordon and Norma (Cameron) Dewar. Paul had been employed at the HMC Dockyard, Halifax, as a marine electrician for 25 years before turning his attentions to farming. He was a member and elder of St. Matthew’s Presbyterian Church, Wallace. Paul loved his family and was extremely proud of them all. He enjoyed his friends and his church family and was well known for his unique sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Coulter) Dewar, Wallace Bay; son, Peter (Carrie) Dewar, Wallace Bay; daughter, Paula (Douglas) Stewart, Sackville, N.B.; grandchildren, Maggie and Robin Dewar, Wallace Bay; Emily and Sarah Stewart, Wolfville; sister, Helen (Brian) Gordon, Pugwash; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother, David. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, at Mundle’s Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020 at St. Matthew’s Presbyterian Church, Wallace. Pastor Jackie Ross officiating. Reception to follow at the Wallace and Area Museum. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to St. Matthew’s Presbyterian Church.
