Ina Peterson nee Loohuizen February 8th 2020

August 29, 1935 – February 8, 2020
It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Ina after a long struggle with Alzheimers. She was born in Holland the second of 5 children. After the 2WW the family moved to southern Ontario in 1949. In 1969 she moved to Enderby and has since that time lived in the Enderby/Armstrong area. A long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #35 in Armstrong where she held many positions. In later years she volunteered with various events carried out by the legion as well as in the communities of Enderby and Armstrong. She was predeceased by her parents, a younger brother, Hans, nephew, Georgie, as well as a sister-in-law, Kathaleen. She is survived by her son, Richard (Joan), granddaughter Denise, grandsons Dustin and Jesse, 6 great grandchildren, brothers Jack and Richard, sister Annemieke and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Enderby Evangelical Chapel on Mill Avenue, Enderby, on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 10:30 AM. Anyone wishing to make donations may make them to the Legion Poppy Fund, Children Believe (formerly Christian Children’s fund) or the Canadian Bible Society.
