Obituary of Christopher Kennedy
Christopher Stephen Kennedy
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the age of 69 years. Born and raised in Montreal, Chris moved to Toronto in the early 1970’s where he met and married the love of his life, Margret Sharp. After approximately 30 years in Toronto, Chris and Margie moved to Leamington where they have owned and operated Ponds RV Park for the past 15 years. As a young boy, Chris was an avid hockey player but his focus shifted to music in his teens. He had great stories about his attendance at Woodstock in the ‘60’s. Beloved husband of Margret. Predeceased by parents Gordon and Georgina Kennedy. Cherished father of Ollie (Valentina Capurri) and Elizabeth MacFarlane (Martin). Loving brother of Donna (deceased May 2011), Deborah (deceased April 2019), and Leonard (Annie). Loving grandfather of Wesley and Kennedy. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Hospice for their support and excellent care while Chris remained at home throughout his illness. Cremation has taken place. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 14 Russell St., Leamington (519-326-2631) Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 1 pm until time of time of Celebration of Christopher’s life at 2:30 pm. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to The Bridge would be appreciated. Family and friends are invited to share their words of comfort and remembrance at www.reidfuneralhome.ca
