CUMMINGS, Roscoe James –
Retired, R.C.A.F. and Ontario Hydro; Member of 418 Wing Assn., Army, Navy & Airforce Club, Royal Canadian Legion, Br. No. 99, Moira Lodge, A.F. & A.M. No. 11, G.R.C., Legion Poppy Fund, and Sidney Westminster United Church.
Peacefully entered into rest at his home on Sunday, February 9th, 2020. Roscoe Cummings of Belleville died at the age of 95. He was the son of the late Harold and Hope Cummings (nee Cooke) and husband for 62 years of the late Patricia (nee Orr). Roscoe was the loving father of Carol Wight of Peterborough, Frank (Teresa) of Kingston, James (Diane) of Guelph, and Lynn Coghlan of Peterborough. He was the incredible Pop to Scott, Jason, Sloane, James Jr., Kelly, Kelsey and Tanis and great poppa to his 9 great grandchildren. Roscoe is predeceased by his brother George “Bud”.
In keeping with Roscoe’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588).
A Service in Celebration of Roscoe’s Life will be held on Wednesday, February 19th, 2020 at 2 p.m. from Sidney Westminster United Church, 1199 Wallbridge-Loyalist Road, Belleville with Rev. Richard Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be at the Church from 12 noon until service time. Private Inurnment at Belleville Cemetery.
