PAOLETTI ZANCOCCHIA FILOMENA 1934 2020

Peacefully, in Montreal, on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the age of eighty-five. Beloved wife of the late Biagio Paoletti, she leaves to mourn her sons Tony and Alfie, her grandchildren Mark, Michael and Chelsea and many relatives and friends. Filomena was born in the town of Ripattoni, in the province of Teramo of the Abruzzo region in Italy. She enjoyed a long career as a proud meat-packer for Melrose Ltd. In her pint-sized kitchen, many assembled, feasted, ranted and reminisced…and lavish quantities of old-time, coveted desserts were crafted to stock the tables at countless Abruzzese community events. Special thanks to the staff at CHSLD Marie-Victorin for their attentive care and kindness. Filomena will be sadly missed, often quoted and always remembered.
Visitation on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. and at the Magnus Poirier Funeral Home, 10,300 Pie-IX Blvd. Montréal-Nord, 514-322-2250. Funeral service will be held on February 13, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Pompei Church, 2875 Sauvé east (corner Saint-Michel) – thence to Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery (Saint-Marguerite d’Youville Mausoleum) for entombment. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charitable organization of your choice
