Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Howard Basil Carle which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on Monday, February 5th, 2020. Born 1943, in Fredericton, NB, growing up in Lower Millstream, he was the son of the late Basil and Zelda (Kincade) Carle. Howard worked as an Engineer with NB Tel for over 30 years. He was a member of Park Ave./Harmony United Church. He and his wife Joan enjoyed many summers on Grand Lake with their children, grandchildren and friends. In recent years, Howard loved travelling with Linda and he was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Howard is survived by his partner Linda Smith of Saint John; son Steven Carle (Lori) of Quispamsis; daughter Andrea Richard (Chris) of Saint John; sister Linda Levesque (Gerry) of Moncton, NB; grandchildren Justin, Jordan, Brayden, Alex and Zac; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Howard was predeceased by his wife Joan and brother Preston.
A special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Bobby’s Hospice for your kindness and compassion.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Sunday, February 9th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place in the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Monday, February 10th at 11 a.m. followed by an interment at Fernhill Cemetery. Donations in memory of Howard may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
