It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Helene Chevrier Carriere (nee St-Jacques) surrounded by her loving family at Health Sciences North on January 30th, 2020 at the age of 79 years. Born to the late Eugene “Bob” and Cecile (Blais) St-Jacques. Predeceased by husbands Honore ‘Henry’ Carriere and Raymond Chevrier. Beloved mother of Linda Chevrier (late Bobby), Gisele (Bert) Watkins, Claude (Sue) Chevrier, Rodney Carriere, Gigi (Steve) Thurlow. Dear grandmother of Martel (Renee), Travis, Michele, Danelle (Gilles), Rodney Jr, Nakita (Martin), Alyssa, Riley and Andrew. Loving great grandmother to Sheldon and Hayden. Beloved sister of Norm (Penny), Clem (late Colette), Richard, Jackie, Irene (JP), Edward (Janet), Suzanne (Mike), predeceased by Ron and her baby sister Rita. The family would like to thank Dr. Shehata, Dr Pitre, Dr. Singh and all the staff that helped her at the cancer centre. Thank you for everything that you do. To all the Health Sciences North 6th floor south tower and Bayshore nurses (especially Erika) thank you for being so compassionate and caring towards Helene in the one of the hardest times of her life. Last but not least a warm thank you to her “angel” Lianne Dupras for all her guidance, love and support through it all, and thank you for bringing and enjoying her last Tim Hortons coffee with her. Respecting her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Donations in her name can be made directly to Northeastern Cancer Centre.
